The all-new, twin-turbo, intercooled DOHC 24-valve, high-output 3.5L EcoBoost® with direct fuel injection is projected to deliver even more power than the previous 6.2L V8. A 10-speed automatic transmission with manual-shifting mode sends that power to all four wheels. And the all-new Terrain Management System™ allows the driver to select from six preset modes to optimize driving dynamics to environmental conditions. Available settings include street, Baja, mud and sand.
The farther you stray from the beaten path, the more you can count on an available TORSEN®* front differential to improve off-road capability. By transferring torque to the stable wheel – before most slipping occurs – the system significantly increases grip for the front end of the truck. This gives Raptor greater capability when pulling itself over obstacles and up steep grades. TORSEN® is a registered trademark of JTEKT Torsen North America, Inc.
Raptor's class-exclusive available beadlock-capable wheels gives you excellent on-and off-road performance. Using the beadlock conversion kit from the Ford Performance catalog, you can deflate them for maximum traction off-road, yet they hold tight to the rims – and stay tight – when you return to the road. The 2017 Raptor also features 17-inch BFGoodrich® All-Terrain T/A® KO2 tires* designed specifically for Raptor.
The all-new 2017 Raptor is now available in a SuperCrew® model. Bigger doors. More room. More fun. It has an available 360-degree camera and, of course, the SuperCrew features the aggressive Raptor distinctive look – the signature grille, the muscular haunches, the giant front skid plate and an improved rear departure angle that helps Raptor transition from flat land to steep hills.

Backing up a trailer involves navigating two vehicles at the same time – the truck going one way and the trailer going in the opposite direction. Whether you’re a novice or a seasoned pro at this often tricky maneuver, the available class-exclusive* Pro Trailer Backup Assist™ makes it as easy as turning a knob.** Simply rotate the knob left or right in the direction you want the trailer to go. F-150 is the first pickup truck to offer this breakthrough feature.
Available BLIS* (Blind Spot Information System) signals you in the outside mirror when a vehicle is detected in a blind spot — and provides coverage for the truck you’re driving as well as the trailer you’re towing. The cross-traffic alert feature can detect a vehicle passing behind when you’re slowly backing out of a driveway or parking place.
