Shoppers may be surprised to learn that the bottom trims, EcoBoost and EcoBoost Premium, get powered by a turbocharged 2.30-liter, four-cylinder engine that generates an impressive 310 horsepower and 350 lb.-ft. of torque. This engine gets paired with a manual transmission, limited-slip rear differential (manual only), and an electronic line-lock for burnouts (track only). For enhanced strength, add the High-Performance package for an extra 20 horsepower, bigger brakes with four-piston calipers, a shorter differential ratio, a larger radiator, an active exhaust, stiffer front springs, and more. The GT and GT Premium trims kick up the prowess to 460 horsepower and 420 lb.-ft. of torque with a 5.0-liter V8 engine. An optional package is available for the GT Premium that adds enhanced tires, brakes, and a more responsive suspension. Lastly, Bullitt (not available as a convertible) has similar components as the GT Premium and a slightly more potent V8. The entry-level trims come with standard features ranging from a 4.2-inch center display screen, a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot, a smartphone app that lets you check on your Mustang remotely, and keyless entry and ignition. Components available on higher trims include Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, an eight-inch touchscreen, power-adjustable front seats, stylized wheels, and exterior accents. A variety of chic options are available, too, including a digital gauge cluster, a navigation system, Recaro front sport seats, blind-spot monitoring, and adaptive cruise control.
